Wilson, 62, was an All-State defenseman at East Providence High School before enrolling at PC. After retiring as a player he went on to a long and distinguished coaching career. He is the all-time winningest American head coach in NHL history, with 648 regular-season wins and 48 more in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
